Staff Report
SPRINGFIELD, Ohio —
Someone broke into Mister B's Drive-Thru, 200 S. Wittenberg Ave., using the same method and taking the same items as a breaking and entering at the business more than a month ago, according to owner Tom Bednarczik.
The thief broke a window and crawled through. Once inside the suspect stole cigarettes and lottery tickets, Bednarczik said. The theft occurred sometime after 10 p.m. Tuesday night and 8:30 a.m. Wednesday. Video surveillance is being reviewed in the hopes of capturing the perpetrator on tape.
State lottery officials were evaluating the loss at the business this morning. Bednarczik said lotto tickets are deactivated at night, so even if there is a winner in the bunch that was stolen, it won't pay off because it is not activated.
