BROOKVILLE —
A 34-year-old West Alexandria man was booked into jail Friday on a felony charge accusing him of engaging in sexual conduct with a minor.
Bryan J. Collins was detained in the Montgomery County Jail on no bond on one count of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, Brookville police said.
According police, a concerned parent contacted the police department in March after monitoring her daughter's Facebook page.
The case was presented to the county prosecutor's office, which approved the criminal charge and forwarded the case to a grand jury. That grand jury indicted Collins.
Police are encouraging parents to monitor their minor children's social networking activities.
