COLUMBUS —

As the votes are being counted tonight, journalists from around the nation and the world are at the Ohio Statehouse to report on the outcome of Election 2012.

The Statehouse is ringed with satellite trucks from TV stations from Cincinnati to Cleveland, plus the major networks.

And in the Statehouse Atrium, Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted has set up a media room for journalists to track the vote count.

Husted said early-on voting was going well with “only a few local hiccups” across the state.

International crews covering the vote tonight include NHK Network News from Japan, French TV, Caixin Media from China and the Spanish-language TV network Univision.
