Wright-Patt gate a step toward Ohio 444 project’s end

WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE —

A ceremony was conducted today to highlight the opening of Gate 1A at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

The gate opening is significant in that it is a move toward the completion of the Ohio 444 project. The project is aimed at enhancing base security and adds bicycle lanes to the roadway.

The ceremony was to feature a dedication in remembrance of Airman 1st Class Noah Muonio, a radar systems analyst struck and killed riding his bike to work on Ohio 444 in August.

Mounio’s family was to attend the event.
