BUTLER TWP., Ohio —
A Lone Star Steakhouse employee was arrested at the restaurant Tuesday on a charge accusing her of stealing a customer’s credit card and charging multiple purchases to it.
Christa Parker, 38, was arrested by Butler Twp. police at the steakhouse, 6868 Miller Lane, at about 12:40 p.m.
She is in the Montgomery County Jail on $10,000 bond. She is charged with felony theft.
Under new Ohio Revised Code statutes adopted in 2011, theft of between $1,000 and $7,500 is considered a fifth degree felony, said prosecutor's office spokesman Greg Flannagan.
According to the county prosecutor’s office, the Dayton resident took a customer’s credit card that was left at the restaurant on Dec. 22. She then made purchases at Rent-A-Center and several online retailers during the week of Christmas, investigators said.
She is expected to appear in Vandalia Municipal Court on Thursday.
Parker has no criminal record in Montgomery County.
