MONTGOMERY COUNTY —
A man accused of raping a 9-year-old child made an appearance in a Montgomery County courtroom this morning, and after the proceeding a man who says he knows both parties spoke out on his behalf.
James Sullivan, 20, faces three counts of rape and one count of gross sexual imposition. He was arrested in February at his apartment on Kelly Avenue in Dayton.
He appeared in court through video on Tuesday. A not guilty plea was entered on his behalf. Sullivan’s bond was set at $500,000. An attorney was also appointed to Sullivan, who is scheduled to make his next appearance in court on March 26.
