DAYTON —

Several crashes on Interstate 75 Tuesday morning have caused traffic delays.

Around 6:15 a.m., a semi-tractor trailer was traveling northbound in the far right lane when the driver lost control as the truck went around a curve, according to officials.

The rear of the trailer began to drift into the center lane, where it grazed another semi and crashed into the outer barrier wall near the Stanley Avenue exit, officials said.

HAZMAT and the Environmental Protection Agency were called to the scene after about 90 gallons of diesel spilled from the truck and into the river. Some of the diesel was recovered, according to officials.

Only one lane of traffic was open for several hours while crews responded. The driver was not injured and was cited with failure to control.

A crash with injuries was also reported on southbound I-75 at Needmore Road shortly before 8 a.m. Traffic was moving slow through the area.

A four-vehicle crash on northbound I-75 at Edwin C. Moses Boulevard was reported around 7:30 a.m. Traffic was backed up past Ohio 741 in Miamisburg as of 8:20 a.m.
