One dead, two hurt after being hit by train RICHMOND —
One woman is dead. Another woman and a man suffered life-threatening injuries after being hit by a train in Richmond early Friday morning.
Richmond police said the three were walking back from some bars in the Depot District around 1:13 a.m. when the accident happened at North 8th Street near North E Street.
They said the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The other woman and a man were taken to Reid Hospital. From there, the woman was transferred by Careflight to Miami Valley Hospital. The man was transferred to an Indianapolis hospital.
An investigation continues.
