Two hurt in Butler County crash

WEST CHESTER —

Two people remain hospitalized in Cincinnati following a crash early Sunday on Interstate 75.

The two-vehicle crash happened just before 2 a.m. Sunday on I-75 south, near milepost 18 in West Chester Twp., according to the Ohio Highway Patrol officials handling the investigation.

State troopers said Kai Randaci, 30, of Cincinnati was operating a 2004 Ford Mustang southbound on Interstate 75 when he struck the rear of a 2007 Chevy Impala, operated by Anthony Arrington, 46, of Cincinnati.

Kai Randaci’s passenger Kimberly Randaci, 29, was ejected through the front windshield after the vehicle went off the right side of the roadway and hit several trees, according to OHP officials.

Troopers said neither of them were wearing seat belts. Kimberly Randaci is listed in critical condition Sunday at University Hospital in Cincinnati. Kai Randaci is in serious condition, according to hospital officials.

Arrington was not injured.

Investigators said alcohol and speed are considered factors in the crash.
