Parents charged; boy with grandmother

BEAVERCREEK —

Police cited two parents after responding to the Waffle House at 3998 Col. Glenn Highway early Saturday morning.

Sgt. Scott Spangler said police were called by others at the restaurant who were concerned about the welfare of a six-year-old boy. He added that the father was involved in an argument with another man inside the restaurant.

Spangler said the parents were intoxicated. A man and woman are charged with disorderly conduct. The woman faces an additional count of child endangering.

She was taken to the Fairborn city jail where she later bonded out.

The man was given an order to appear in court.

Spangler said that the little boy appeared to be alright. There was no indication of abuse.

Greene County Children’s Services was notified.

The boy was placed in temporary custody with his grandmother.
