Pizza delivery driver robbed at vacant house

DAYTON —

A pizza delivery driver working her first day on the job was robbed at gunpoint in the 2900 block of Sage Avenue Tuesday night.

The victim told police she was delivering an order to the 2835 Sage Avenue when she was approached by two males pointing a rifle at her, according to police records. The suspects took $178 in cash, two pizzas and an order of bread sticks.

Police responded to the Sage Avenue address and found it to be vacant. Police found footprints in the snow that matched the victim’s account, and called for a canine.

The canine unit tracked to a vacant house in the 2800 block of Germantown Street, but no one was located inside.
