DAYTON —
Police are investigating a “shots fired” call and an auto accident which appear to be related.
Around 10:30 p.m. Sunday, officers were called to 4609 Greenwich Village Ave. on reports of shots being fired into a house.
When police arrived, a silver car parked at the scene took off. Officers tried to pursue the car, but lost it.
A few moments later, police said the same silver car hit another car pulling into a driveway at Kings Highway and Fairport Avenue. There were three people in the suspect vehicle. Police said one ran away. The other two were taken to area hospitals where they would also be questioned.
One of the men called a relative to pick him up, and officers also took that woman in for questioning.
Two people in the other car were transported to a local hospital for minor injuries.
Dayton Power and Light crews were called in to repair a damaged utility pole.
Officers were unable to find any bullet holes in the house on Greenwich Village Avenue. They are expected to return in the daytime to check the scene again.
Homicide detectives have also been called in to help with the investigation, because two of the men have outstanding felony warrants against them.
