DAYTON —

Two crashes early Saturday morning may have been caused by red-light violations, according to police.

The first crash happened around 2:45 a.m. at the intersection of Salem Avenue and West Riverview Avenue, where one vehicle crashed into another.

Police said whoever was inside one of the vehicles ended up running off from the scene before emergency responders arrived. The man inside the other vehicle was transported to a local hospital with injuries police considered to be non-life threatening.

The second crash occurred around 3:30 a.m. at the intersection of Troy Street and Stanley Avenue. Police said a woman was attempting to turn right onto Stanley from northbound Troy, when a pick-up truck t-boned her car. The woman was trapped inside the vehicle for a short time, but was eventually freed and transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to firefighters.

In both crashes police have yet to determine who was at fault and both remain under investigation.
