CLEARCREEK TWP. —
A woman was killed in a single vehicle rollover crash that shut down part of East Lytle Five Points Road.
The crash was reported at approximately 8:15 p.m. Tuesday in the 900 block of East Lytle Five Points, which is southeast of the Dayton Wright Brothers Airport on Springboro Pike.
The victim is a 33-year-old woman from Clearcreek Twp. She was the driver of the westbound vehicle that appeared to go off the road after a hill, according to Clearcreek Twp. officer Daniel Morgan.
The vehicle careened off the road, striking a pole and several trees before coming to rest in a ravine about 100 yards from where it left the road, Morgan said.
Investigators continue to look at possible factors that caused the crash. Morgan said the roads were wet from a light rain and that might have been a contributing factor.
Duke Energy responded to repair a utility pole that snapped in the crash. Officials said there were wires down on top of the vehicle.
