MIAMI COUNTY —
Miami County Sheriff Charles Cox discovered a safe stolen from an Anna business while on routine patrol Thursday morning.
The safe, along with cigarettes, were stolen from the Anna Market on W. Main Street early Wednesday morning, according to reports.
Cox discovered the safe, which had been beaten open and emptied, in a secluded area north of Upper Valley Medical Center and Interstate 75 Thursday morning.
An unknown amount of money was in the safe.
Miami County is now holding the safe for Anna police.
