TROY —
A student at Troy Junior High School is facing possible criminal charges and disciplinary action by the school after a threatening message was found in a boy’s bathroom.
Troy police confirmed Wednesday night that a junior high student was arrested following an investigation into a note found at the school.
The note was found written on a bathroom stall and it stated, “Everyone will die 2/27/13,” according to Troy schools Superintendent Eric Herman.
The wording was similar to a note found the previous day at Troy High School, which stated
“Everyone in the school will die 2/22/13.”
Herman said Wednesday’s note was found late in the school day by a student and the arrest occurred after school hours.
He said school officials have not yet spoken to the student.
“We are tightening security and beefing up supervision, especially monitoring the bathrooms,” Herman said.
