Sunny and warmer for the new week

SOUTHWEST OHIO —

Storm Center 7 Meteorologist McCall Vrydaghs said the Miami Valley will see sunny skies and seasonable temperatures Monday as high pressure dominates the forecast.

Temperatures are expected to be in the mid to upper 30s on Monday.

She said there will be a few high clouds Tuesday, and temperatures will be a bit milder with highs in the lower 40s.

Vrydaghs said the warming trend will continue through the end of the work week.

“Wednesday will have some more clouds, breezy at times, but highs will be in the mid 40s, she said. “Rain arrives in the afternoon Thursday, but that will not keep us from warming into the upper 40s.”

Vrydaghs said winds will pick up through the day and overnight Thursday. She added that rain showers should taper down early on Friday giving way to mostly cloudy skies.

“Afternoon highs are even warm in the mid-50s, she said. “This is roughly 20 degrees above normal for this time of year.”

For next weekend, Vrydaghs said a cold front will bring rain and temperatures closer to average.
