The driver of a semi-truck was taken to Wilson Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on Saturday. Investigators said he left the freeway and crashed that morning.

On Sunday, the Ohio State Highway Patrol identified the driver as a Texas man, 64-year-old Jesse Buford Stevens Jr.

At approximately 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning, the highway patrol was called to the scene of a truck crash in Anna near mile marker 100, Shelby County. Upon arrival, officers determined the driver may have suffered a medical condition, driving south on I-75, veering to the right off of the roadway, into a field and crashed.

The semi was hauling groceries. No other vehicles were involved.

The crash is currently under investigation.
