MIAMI COUNTY —
Authorities in Miami County said CareFlight was called after a truck slammed into a tree, hit a sign and a utility pole, then rolled over near the village of Pleasant Hill on Monday morning.
The crash happened shortly after 10 a.m. in the 200 block of South Rangeline Road, which is between Fenner and Penny roads.
Deputies said that Jeremy Black, 32, of near Pleasant Hill, who lived about a half-mile from the scene, lost control of his pickup truck and he went off the side of the road. Black was flown to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton aboard CareFlight in critical condition.
Deputies said they believe that the high winds, rain and wet pavement did not play a part in the crash.
