Warming for weekend; rain by Monday

By Breaking News Staff

SOUTHWEST OHIO —

A quiet day is in store and warming temperatures will dominate the weekend forecast ahead of the next storm system slated to impact the region as early as Sunday afternoon.

Temperatures today will start off in the 20s, but thanks to high pressure, a lot of sun will fill area skies. Highs today should rise to around 40 degrees, which should melt some of the remaining snow on the ground from Tuesday and Wednesday’s snow storm.

Tonight will see mainly clear skies and temperatures will drop to the 20s, Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Erica Collura said.

Mostly sunny skies will start the day tomorrow, but clouds will gradually increase throughout the day. “We will stay dry with highs around 50,” Collura said.

Sunday will see temperatures in the mid 50s, but rain could arrive as early as the afternoon. “The bulk of the rain doesn’t come until Sunday night/Monday morning,” according to Collura.

Rain showers could mix or end with a little light snow Monday night into the early morning on Tuesday. Tuesday will be mostly cloudy with temperatures in the 40s.
