Weekend to be warm, sunny before showers

MIAMI VALLEY —

Temperatures the next several days will be warmer than normal for this time of year, said Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Erica Collura.

“Averages this time of year are around 44 in the afternoon and 30 overnight,” she said. “We will be in the low 50s this afternoon, after starting off in the 30s this morning.”

Skies will be bright with scattered high clouds today. Winds this afternoon will pick up at times with gusts around 20 miles per hour. Clouds arriving late tonight will keep low temperatures in the 30s to lower-40s, she said.

Saturday will see temperatures in the mid-50s.

“We stay dry Saturday, but a weak cold front will swing through Sunday bringing scattered showers,” she said.

Looking ahead to Monday, the high will be in the 60s in the afternoon.

A stronger cold front moves in Tuesday, bringing a better chance for heavier rain. Temperatures will be colder and closer to normal, Collura said.
