Police are looking for a dark-colored vehicle used in a drive-by shooting Friday night.
The incident happened at approximately 6:35 p.m. at South and South Columbus streets.
Police said the car pulled up and an occupant fired multiple shots at a house in the 400 block of South Street.
The vehicle then fled onto South Columbus. No one was injured.
Police said officers have located five shell casings that will be analyzed in an effort to identify what type of weapon was fired.
At 8:30 p.m., a Springfield fire crew was providing a ladder for officers to use in the search for shell casings.
