Dayton notes: This will be the Flyers’ first-ever meeting with Boston College. They are 25-24 all-time against teams from the Atlantic Coast Conference. … Through two games, Dayton is shooting the same from 3-point range as its opponents (both 13-of-37 for 35 percent). … Benson and Robinson each have 15 rebounds through two games.

Boston College notes: The Eagles led No. 16 Baylor 43-41 at halftime Thursday in the second game of the tournament. It was tied with 10:30 left, but Baylor went on a 16-7 run and pulled away in the final minutes for a 84-74 victory. Anderson led Boston College with 25 points. Andrew Van Nest, a 6-10 freshman, had 13 points off the bench. … The Eagles have seven players at 6-7 or taller. … Boston College beat Florida International 84-70 in its first game. It went 9-22 a year ago.

Eagles coach Steve Donahue on playing the Flyers: “I think they’re a really good all-around team, really solid. They have a terrific point guard, obviously. They don’t make many mistakes. They have good size and experience. It’s an incredible challenge for us on a neutral court. Obviously, both teams want to win the game bad.”
