Local governments seek $36 million in leviesAcross Ohio, cities ask residents to help cover state cuts

Ten Miami Valley communities will ask local voters for more than $20 million in new taxes this year, mirroring initiatives aimed at raising revenues taking place around Ohio. Elected leaders in West Carrollton and Beavercreek will seek income tax levies in May, while their counterparts in Oakwood, Waynesville and Miami and Clearcreek townships will ask for more millage through taxes on local property owners.
